All Time Top 25 Games

  • Chrono Trigger#17 in All Time Favorite Games#1Chrono TriggerWipeOut's opinion: Made by a dream-team at the end of the lifespan of the Super Nintendo(which is the greatest console of all time) when they pushed the console at it's technical limits, so it's pretty self-explanatory.
  • Super Mario World#13 in All Time Favorite Games#2Super Mario WorldWipeOut's opinion: Super Mario World, the Greatest SNES Game of 1991, the Greatest Game of 1991, the Greatest 2D Platformer, the Greatest Game of the 90s, the Greatest Game of the 20th Century, the Greatest Mario Game in Existence & the Greatest Game, Overall, of all Time. The Game that polished the Mario series, it perfected Gaming & made Miyamoto say:THIS IS MY FAVOURITE MARIO GAME OF ALL TIME!. Also, the game that introduced Yoshi, the Greatest sidekick in Gaming History. SMW was declared G.O.A.T. by the british magazine Empire in 2009, 5/5 Stars on AllGame.com, 9.3 Review Average on Gamefaqs.com, 96.50% on Gamerankings.com & 10 on HonestGamers.com.Inducted in both IGN Hall of Fame & Gamespot-Greatest Games of all Time List.
  • Super Metroid#36 in All Time Favorite Games#3Super MetroidWipeOut's opinion: Super Metroid, the game that perfected the series. It was inspired after the movie Aliens, where Samus plays the role of Ellen Ripley & Mother Brain is the Alien Queen.Ridley makes refferance here at Lt. Ellen Ripley from the movie. The boss battles are epic, the music is epic, the atmosphere is powerfull, the game is immersive but i feel it's too short for such an epic game.
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past#14 in All Time Favorite Games#4The Legend of Zelda: A Link to t...WipeOut's opinion: A Link to the Past-A Link to the Greatest Games of all Time.
  • Final Fantasy VI#34 in All Time Favorite Games#5Final Fantasy VI
  • Donkey Kong Country#101 in All Time Favorite Games#6Donkey Kong CountryWipeOut's opinion: It was jaw-dropping in 1994 when Rare announced DKC for the aging SNES instead of the brand new announced project Ultra 64.The game blew everybody back then with it's revolutionary pseudo 3D graphics, masterpiece soundtrack(which i still think it's the best ever made in the world of gaming) & introduced a new character, Diddy Kong that later moed on to other things like brawling...For me, DKC1 is still the best out of the trilogy, the sequels got more & more complicated in action & level design, this is plain & simple...& effective.33 immersive levels very different one from another. IMO this game is better than anything latter made on the N64, including Ocarina of Time.
  • Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island#83 in All Time Favorite Games#7Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Isl...WipeOut's opinion: No comment.
  • Super Mario Kart#139 in All Time Favorite Games#8Super Mario KartWipeOut's opinion: Declared the Greatest Game of all Time by Guiness World Records because it kick-started the Mario Spin-Off trend that continued with Mario RPG, Smash Bros, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis etc & so the Mario franchise became the best selller of all time with over 240 million copies sold.It also revolutionised racing games, created a lot of clones like:Crash Team Racing, Diddy kong Racing, Speed Punks, Sega All-Star Racing, Mickey Speedway etc & all of its sequels of course.
  • Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars#106 in All Time Favorite Games#9Super Mario RPG: Legend of the S...WipeOut's opinion: Put Mario in an RPG & you get an overrated game.'nuff said.
  • Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest#105 in All Time Favorite Games#10Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's K...WipeOut's opinion: A fantastic game overall.Tough the level design is confusing & the difficulty is hard, i will never forget the Bramble Blast Theme & the Last Level, Screech's Sprint which are forever stuck in my mind, probably the most fantastic, location in the history of gaming.
  • Secret of Mana#137 in All Time Favorite Games#11Secret of ManaWipeOut's opinion: The atmosphere of this game i mean...& its music...its just...uhmm...whoa, no words can describe the magic of this game but unfortunatelly the gameplay/controls are very annoying & it's also a rip-off after A Link to the Past otherwise it's virtually flawless.
  • Final Fantasy IV (SNES)#156 in All Time Favorite Games#12Final Fantasy IV (SNES)
  • Contra III: The Alien Wars#595 in All Time Favorite Games#13Contra III: The Alien WarsWipeOut's opinion: Non-Stope bloody action with a Power Metal-like soundtrack, let's attack agressively! says Stallone to the Schwarzenegger in the intro.Too bad it's too short, only 6 levels, with 4-6 levels longer, this woul be worthy of a 9.5! Driving a tank in the first level & listeting the Neo Kobe Steel Factory theme of the 3rd level seeing the industrial landscape is unforgetable. The final boss of this level reminds me of the endoskeleton from Terminator & the music near the end of the game reminds me of the soundtrack of the movie Predator. Contra 3 is intense but brief fun.
  • Space Megaforce#2035 in All Time Favorite Games#14Space MegaforceWipeOut's opinion: This game known in Japan as Super Aleste & in America Space Megaforce, was inspired after Blazing Lazers on the Turbographx-16 but it looks fantastic & plays fantastic. It also has a killer soundtrack, the final boss, Lucifer reminds me of Gyigas from Earthbound. The mode 7 effects are used to the fullest. There are 12 levels of non-stopr action & awesome-ness with numerous weapons to choose from & various upgrades to make the experience very satisfying.

  • Tomb Raider (1996)#611 in Best Current Favorites#1Tomb Raider (1996)WipeOut's opinion: The game that launched Sony into SuperStardom & established Sony as the the "Hardcore's Choice" Console. Inspired after the movie Indiana Jones-Raiders of the Lost Ark & the Video-Game, Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider represents a Milestone in 3D Gaming & it's protagonist, Lara Croft, made Women Popular in Video-Games.Selling over 7 Million copies, TR1 was a Smash Hit, in UK especially where it topped the charts for a couple of weeks. This game has it all(except graphics):action, adventure, puzzles, atmospheric soundtrack &...cutscenes, a cinematic aproach, something uncommon in 1996.The remake resolved "the graphics problems" but on the other hand, washed away the atmosphere & sense of solitude provided by the original, "that magic to
  • MDK#697 in Best Current Favorites#2MDKWipeOut's opinion: The "sequel" to Jim Earthworm Jim, MDK was a true stunner when it came out in 1997.It creates such an unique Sci-Fi environment coupled with humour, a few good laughs but few people know this was the game that introduced the SNiper-Scope in the world of Shooters with Zoom In/Out features. It came 4 months before Goldeneye. it has 6 worlds with unique environments & a Stellar Soundtrack made by Tommy Tallarico which reminds me of the James Bond Movies. You control Kurt Hectic, a dude which was a built-in Ribbon-Parachute & a machinegun in his arm that can be removed & transformed into his mask, the sniping-device.He reminds me of Samus Aran. MDK1 stands for Murder Death Kill. It's sequel, MDK2 means Max Doctor Kurt, the main protagonists

Mario Kart 64 Rip-Off, Mario Kart 64 which was a Horrible Game, this one is only a little better. The graphics are near PS2 quality since it was released in the late life span of the console but i still think it looks pretty awful, blocky, choppy graphics. It also has imprecise controls, annoying gameplay. Uhmm...Bandicoot Power!Tiny find squish punny karts!...Not Good! PS:It's also a rip-off atfer Diddy Kong Racing, an even worse game than both CTR & MK64!

Duke Nukem G*yD, bwahaha. Basically a DOOM clone with chicks & wild pigs thrown in but it's fun nonetheless.Behind times 'cause it had 2D sprites compared to Quake which was Full 3D. Duke is the king of quotes in Gaming, but in the movies Arnold Schwarzenegger is.

Quite possibly my absolute favourite game of all time, no joke. The remake of the original on the Playstation.I really don't care what critics think, they all can go & **** themselves.GTAIV & MGS4 10?Puh-Lease...this game is worth 10, & GTAIV & MGS4 are both worth 7.8 This is the equivalent of Indiana Jones-Raiders of the Lost Ark.The graphics push the PS2 to its limits(well, if we don't consider games like GOWII or MGS3). It's really sad this game is underrated & considered only "Good", IMO it has it all.Uncharted 2?No thanks, that "Game" is way too cinematic, it's more of a movie rather than a video-game let's face it.My favourite levels?Lost Valley & St. Francis Folly of course!Played this game at least 10 times, i can't get eno

Alien TrilogyProbe Entertainment (1996)

Alien Trilogy

Review written Sunday, April 24th, 2011 at 09:26 pm.

I'm an Alien fanboy & Ellen Ripley is one of my greatest heroes ever.IMO this is the Best Alien Game ever made, basically a DOOM clone.it also has 3 Episodes just like the afore-mentioned game. The first section is from the 2nd movie, Aliens where Ripley lands on the planet LV-427 along with the infamous Marine Crew to investigate the area for Xenomoprh presence. The Second Part is from the 3rd movie, Alien3 inside the maximum security prison on Fiorina Fury & finally the last part is from Alien 1 inside the derelict Boneship. Released in 1996, it's a little behind times because it's sprite based, it's not a full 3D game but what i really about this game is the atmosphere & soundtrack-absolutely scary & briliant at the same time.

STARS! "-It can't be reasoned with.It can't be bargained with.It doesn't feel pity or remorse, or fear & it will absolutely will not stop, ever!Untill you are dead!" Yes, you get the picture.Jill plays here the role of Sarah Connor & the Nemesis is the Terminator. Non-stop action killing dozens of Zombies on the streets of Racoon City.THe prerendered backgrounds look amazing & they have been a little upgraded from RE2.I think this is the best game in Resident Evil series, just behind REmake.

The Legend of ZeldaNintendo (1986)

The Legend of Zelda

Review written Sunday, April 24th, 2011 at 09:08 pm.

G.O.A.T. according to Game Informer & for a good reason:it's the first in the Zelda Series, it's also considered the forerunner of the RPG genre & it also introduced a password system via battery backup to save your progress for your epic quest.I think this is the best NES game ever made along with SMB 1 & Tetris. It was inspired after Adventure(!979) made for the Atari 2600. Here Link has a shield with a Christian Cross on it.He is an elf that somehow reminds me of Robin Hood. The money currency in the Zelda Universe are the Rupees, the curent national currency of India.Fun Fact:One of Robbie Williams children was named after princess Zelda. If you're a graphic biatch, this game is crap, if you're not, then this is the Holy Grail of Gami
