All Time Top 25 Games
#48 in All Time Favorite Games#1Metroid PrimeTanteGuro's opinion: Might be the best game of all time. No faults. None! I used to sit and listen through the menu music several times before starting the game, it was truly mesmerizing. The game itself took full advantage of the Gamecube controller, utilising it in the best way possible to create a fluid, immersive and exciting experience. Beautiful environments, lush graphics and great action with some of the best bosses in any game. This game has it all and I can't see any game besting it for a long time still.

#17 in Best Current Favorites#1Far Cry 3TanteGuro's opinion: The whole island is nicely realized and the gunplay is fun. After you complete challenges the place becomes kind of deserted though and you'll quickly find yourself quick-travelling most of the time instead of wandering around enjoying the scenery and the random encounters with animals. Story is fun enough and does the job but the ending disappoints with little pay-off. The game is overly reliant on animations when it comes to movement which can be frustrating at times (platforming etc) but it doesn't get to much in the way of the core gameplay mechanics. All in all an enjoyable trip to an island which isn't as good as the one in Just Cause 2 but will still keep you entertained throughout.

#8 in Best Current Favorites#7Battlefield 3TanteGuro's opinion: DICE is going all-in on this one and I have full confidence in their ability to deliver a great game. Building on the magnificent sound design of Bad Company 2, actually building a long and original single player and continuing on their legacy of great multiplayer battles I can't see how this game is going to fail.

The game is also great value with fun gameplay mechanics and 20 tracks that also integrates into RB3 without an export code. It's frikkin cheap and very fun, what more do you want?

I'm not the biggest fan of cover mechanics (see Killzone 2) but Gears gets it just right. A simple but engaging story, nice set pieces and lovely, brutal gunplay makes this game the action title of the year. Bring on number three!

#58 in Best of 7th Gen#18Gears of War 2TanteGuro's opinion: Machismo overload. Underneath all the brute force and badassery is a very solid 3rd person action adventure. I'm not the biggest fan of cover mechanics (see Killzone 2) but Gears gets it just right. A simple but engaging story, nice set pieces and lovely, brutal gunplay makes this game the action title of the year. Bring on number three!

#10 in Best of 6th Gen#1Metroid PrimeTanteGuro's opinion: Might be the best game of all time. No faults.

TanteGuro's Reviews
Far Cry 3Ubisoft Montreal (2012)

Review written Thursday, May 9th, 2013 at 02:27 pm.
The whole island is nicely realized and the gunplay is fun.

Rock Band BlitzHarmonix (2012)

Review written Wednesday, October 10th, 2012 at 01:02 am.
A very nice way to get some extra mileage out of your existing library of Rock Band songs. The game is also great value with fun gameplay mechanics and 20 tracks that also integrates into RB3 without an export code. It's frikkin cheap and very fun, what more do you want?
