All Time Top 25 Games

  • Super Mario Galaxy#44 in All Time Favorite Games#1Super Mario GalaxytanksKABOOM's opinion: Super Mario Galaxy. Nintendo is and has always been the beloved franchise creators that I grew up and bonded with, and Mario games were no exception. Super Mario Galaxy is stunning. The first couple minutes of gameplay immediately show you that you are in for an epic journey across the cosmos. With representation of classic, and new Mario game mechanics such as some side scrolling sequences, there is so much to be done in this title. If you find yourself bored of a game, Super Mario Galaxy has an astonishing 242 levels of gameplay, each level lasting approximately 5-10 minutes. The graphics are gorgeous for the Wii console, the game runs 60FPS constantly, and the soundtrack is awesome. I don't know how this game could go wrong. 10/10
  • Garry's Mod#122 in All Time Favorite Games#2Garry's ModtanksKABOOM's opinion: Garry's Mod. This game is completely infinite with possibilities. Using a former Half Life 2 engine, you can use props, characters, ragdoll models and even weapons from VALVE games running on the Source engine to literally do whatever! There are no rules, no restrictions and most importantly no limits. And if you get tired of the default assets and sources the game gives you, download everyone else's stuff! There are MILLIONS of mods, maps and gamemodes for you to try and enjoy, with once again, infinite possibilities. Garry's Mod, for a bargain of $9.99 on Steam, is a MUST BUY. 9.5/10
  • Halo 4#166 in All Time Favorite Games#3Halo 4tanksKABOOM's opinion: Halo 4. I remember how stunning this game was from first time play, and how much fun it was. This game is action packed, full of excellent voice casting, characters and absolutely magnificent graphics. If there were no Halo 4, where would I be? The only reason this game did not gain the #1 spot on my list, is because the fun was over very quickly, and this game (other than multiplayer) doesn't have very much replay value. To all Xbox 360 owners THIS IS A MUST BUY. 9/10
  • Assassin's Creed III#153 in All Time Favorite Games#4Assassin's Creed IIItanksKABOOM's opinion: All right. Straight off, Assassins Creed III is a gorgeous game. All of the environments the game puts you in, you can't help but think...wow. But it's not only the terrain, but also the characters. The model detail and movement is excellent, such as how clothing moves in the wind or when you run. Gameplay wise, it's good fun. You enjoy running from building to building like in previous AC titles, and also jumping into combat with stealth, or just be ruthless. This game has a good amount of gameplay, and it has been extended because of the open world environment. But this lost the #1 spot for me because of repetition. Not only that, but sometimes you find it hard to find where to go, or it just takes too long to get there. 8.5/10
  • Portal#8 in All Time Favorite Games#5PortaltanksKABOOM's opinion: When puzzle games come to mind, you can't help but think about Portal. This game is short, maybe half an hour of gameplay at best, but it didn't miss out on a thing. Everything was in the game that needed to be there, and it was a blast. Not only is it a challenging and fun puzzle game, but the backstory and dialogue in it, is extraordinarily thought through. Never before have you ever seen an AI with just as much pessimistic humor as GlaDOS, a voice that follows you throughout the entire game. Portal was shockingly great, and nobody expected such a great game from such a small gameplay span. But the only thing dragging this game down on my list, is that it has almost no replay value at all. 9/10
