  • I was 4 when I had my first contact with games. It was on a good old Commodore 64. I vaguely remember a ninja rabbit jumping around, some space shooter and a wierd caveman rolling on a stone wheel... It's all a litle fuzzy, but one thing I do remember clearly is the effect these games had on me. I was in awe. The joy of playing these pieces of electronic entertainment was intoxicating. Gaming instantly became my life's passion. I became a Gamer. A Gamer I still am. And a Gamer I will be, forever.

Just like... like... oh yeah, the first Deus Ex. I could go on and on about all the individual aspects of it, but there really is only one way to sum it all up: It is worthy of being called Deus Ex. I haven't felt this level of joy playing a video game in a very very long time. Congrats Eidos Montreal, and thank you.

Might & Magic: Heroes VI

5.5Fine

I'm a huge Heroes fan, and I'm from Hungary. So when I heard, that Heroes Vi is being made, AND by a hungarian developer no less, I got really excited. But years of excitement turned to utter dissapointment in a matter of a few hours after I got Heroes VI and started playing... But why? The game is pretty, some of the changes are relly cool, and it has that Heroes feel to it. But dispite all that, the core of the game is rotten beyound repair. I can appriciate a challenging game... But I can't tolerate an unbalanced, poorly desigend game. And unfortunately, Heroes VI is the latter. The main problem is that winning is only possible through the rush tactic... explore a bit and you are done. That makes 80% of the maps useless. Untolerable!

10Classic!

It's hard to articulate how much I love this game. It may not be the best, or the highest rated game, but it touched my soul on a level I did not expect from the medium at the time. Playing it for the first time made me realize, that up until that point I was simply playing games, and from that moment forth I was experiencing them. It changed me, and became a part of me in a way only a true piece of art could. It also was the first game me and my girlfriend played together, and it made her really interested in gaming. Great story, great characters, great music great art style... I can't say enough good things about this masterpiece. My #1 game of all time. Check it out, if you can.
