All Time Top 25 Games

  • Heroes of Might and Magic III#133 in All Time Favorite Games#1Heroes of Might and Magic IIIPapissama's opinion: I literally spent days playing this game without stopping. The world of HOMM III is magical. The game is well balanced with many creatures to play with.
  • Flashback#619 in All Time Favorite Games#2FlashbackPapissama's opinion: Out of this world, but ten times better. I thought it was impossible back then. First time I laid my eyes on this game, I knew I would love video games for a very long time.
  • X-COM: Terror From the Deep#869 in All Time Favorite Games#3X-COM: Terror From the DeepPapissama's opinion: My first X-Com experience and my favorite one.
  • Xenogears#199 in All Time Favorite Games#4XenogearsPapissama's opinion: Xenogears brainwashed me and definitely made a console goon out of me.
  • Sid Meier's Civilization#419 in All Time Favorite Games#5Sid Meier's Civilization
  • Sid Meier's Colonization#715 in All Time Favorite Games#6Sid Meier's Colonization
  • Final Fantasy VIII#64 in All Time Favorite Games#7Final Fantasy VIIIPapissama's opinion: Okay, I enjoyed the visual and sound in my first playthrough. I know the junction system is flawed and tedious but I loved it on my 2nd playthrough. To be honest, I don't know why but it was just so satisfying. Despite what Spoony said in his review (he's right for many things), I even enjoyed the storyline on my 3rd playthrough. I still believe in the Rinoa --> Ultimecia theory... That's says a lot. I love the Triple Triad minigame. Anyway, it's by far my favorite Final Fantasy game. Subjectivity as its finest people! ^_^
  • Star Wars: TIE Fighter#503 in All Time Favorite Games#8Star Wars: TIE FighterPapissama's opinion: The empire is on the verge of success. This game is X-Wing, but better. You cannot go wrong there.
  • Suikoden II#203 in All Time Favorite Games#9Suikoden IIPapissama's opinion: Best Suikoden game ever, hands down. I love how the bond of friendship between Hero and Jowy was interpreted in this game.
  • Another World#622 in All Time Favorite Games#10Another WorldPapissama's opinion: When Another World first came out, I could not believe what I was seeing. The animation was ahead of its time (spiritual predecessor of Flashback) and the story was great despite the lack of real dialogue. A truly unforgettable experience!!
  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time#1 in All Time Favorite Games#11The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of...Papissama's opinion: When I finished OoT, I realized how I underestimated console gaming BIG TIME!!

  • Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi#1420 in All Time Favorite Games#13Wing Commander II: Vengeance of...Papissama's opinion: Because of this game and Tie Fighter, I was crazy in love with Space sims back in the day. The story, the action, the drama, the tension, the epicness of that game was incredible.
  • Diablo#245 in All Time Favorite Games#14DiabloPapissama's opinion: My right index finger has fond memories of that game. I still remember my first encounter with the Butcher.
  • Dune#1063 in All Time Favorite Games#15Dune
  • Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle#266 in All Time Favorite Games#16Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tenta...Papissama's opinion: Probably the first and last time I laughed out loud playing a video game.
  • Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis#561 in All Time Favorite Games#17Indiana Jones and the Fate of At...Papissama's opinion: It's probably the only game I really wished a movie adaptation for. This game was another statement of Lucasarts supremacy in the genre.
  • Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games#4234 in All Time Favorite Games#18Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games
  • Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge#226 in All Time Favorite Games#19Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Reven...

  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney#134 in All Time Favorite Games#23Phoenix Wright: Ace AttorneyPapissama's opinion: Wow, what an experience!! I wasn't expecting such a deep game coming out of a DS game. Characters, music and gameplay were great. By far the best game on the DS. I have yet to play the rest of the series though (very soon though).
  • Shadow of the Colossus#18 in All Time Favorite Games#24Shadow of the ColossusPapissama's opinion: Epic!!

The element of surprise wasn't there anymore. The production values are still off the charts, the storytelling is still superb and the visuals are probably the best on the system. The trilogy wrapped up nicely but if Nathan D plans to come back to the PS4, Naughty D better step his game up big time. PS: OMG, the desert looks gorgeous!!

Year Walk

Review written Sunday, March 24th, 2013 at 12:06 pm.

A bit of a scary/disturbing experience. If you truly want to appreciate this game, you'll have to play 'till the end. If you don't get stuck on the puzzles, It can be very short (about 2 hours). Year Walk is not for everybody but it's different in a good way and pretty innovative. If you plan on playing it, you HAVE to get the companion app that goes with it.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Review written Friday, November 30th, 2012 at 12:44 am.

Lords of Shadow is my first Castlevania game and I was not disappointed. The story is well done and beautifully told. The gameplay is very similar to God of War and can be very challenging at times (Oh boy The forgotten One!!). The music is also nice enough to deserve a mention. The game has a wordeful ending and I'm now curious to see what Mercury Steam has in store for us with Lords of Shadow 2. 100% complete btw :)

Battlefield 3

I've only played the single player part. Some moments were breathtakingly gorgeous but boy this game was boring. It's in the same vein as Modern Warfare but less spectacular. I've been playing FPSs since the Wolfenstein 3D, Doom & Duke 3D days, and I think it's time for me to take some time off from the genre... It's sad to admit but I might be too old for this crap...

I used to play RoboCop on my Amstrad CPC 6128. I remember it being very challenging and I probably never finished it but I still have a very good memory of this game. The movie was so badass back then.

Apollo Justice takes the Phoenix Wright formula and throw us into a very engaging storyline. If you like the PW series, you'll definitely enjoy this episode as well despite its slow start. Great game!!

AC II is what AC I should have been. Better in everyway with a very engaging storyline. I can't wait to see what Brotherhood has in store for me. I just wish the game was a little harder though.

Who would've thought that my favorite shoot'em up of all time was a modern game. Everything is great about this game.

Platoon was soooo hard!! I could never finish it but I might have been a bit too young when I tried too beat it back then. I should probably give it another go. I still remember its epic tune to this day. :)
