All Time Top 25 Games

  • Shadow of the Colossus#18 in All Time Favorite Games#1Shadow of the ColossusAramonde's opinion: there is no doubt in my mind that Shadow of the Colossus is my favorite game of all time. just the world is a wonder to behold, i could roam across the land for hours. so much of the story is left open to your imagination. you take your lover or sister or friend to a forbidden land in hope to bring her back. you are instructed to defeat 16 different colossi by mysterious being. each of these creatures are a puzzle of there own. every time you kill one it feels like murdered in innocent being for your own selfish reasons. never have played such i game that effected all of my emotions. if you've never played this you owe it yourself to experience masterpiece of gaming.
  • Okami#76 in All Time Favorite Games#2OkamiAramonde's opinion: coming in at number two is Okami. when this game came out i thought it was going to be the next zelda. such a beautiful game, with it's japanese watercolor art style. never before had i seen anything like it. the unique paintbrush mechanic was a new way to fight enemies and solve puzzles. the amazing story steeped in japanese culture kept me wanting more and more. Sadly the game didn't sell well thus clover studios was shut down. but they did make a gaming experience deserving it's place among the best.
  • BioShock#10 in All Time Favorite Games#3BioShockAramonde's opinion: Up next at number 3 we have Bioshock. this game kept me on the edge of seat the entire way though. the underwater world of rapture is unique and creepy, you never know if your safe. and the story is weird and interesting. plasmids(kinda like magic) are very unique making it more of a action adventure game than first person shooter.
  • Mortal Kombat (2011)#289 in All Time Favorite Games#4Mortal Kombat (2011)Aramonde's opinion: next up at number 4 we have Mortal Kombat(2011) or MK9. i have played all 9 main games of the MK franchise. ever since the 1st game i've been hooked on MK. MK9 takes the series back to it's roots and improves on the fighting mechanics to make it my favorite of the series. all characters from the first three are in there, plus my favorite Quan Chi. every character has two unique fatality's, a fatality for every stage, and a babality. the only thing that keeps it from a ten is there bad online which is ok now but still not great. if you want to get into MK or fighting games in general i would highly recommend this.
  • Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (16-bit)#93 in All Time Favorite Games#5Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (16-bit)Aramonde's opinion: alright were in top 5 territory now, At number 5 we have Sonic 2. The game that made me a gamer i am today. awesome level design, fantastic soundtrack especially chemical zone oh god yes! they added the spin dash which makes so much better. and the introduction of tails, who i love hey i was usually always 2nd player. Sonic has and will always have a special place in my heart.
  • Metal Gear Solid#16 in All Time Favorite Games#6Metal Gear SolidAramonde's opinion: At number 6 we have Metal Gear Solid. it was the first game that introduced me to serious storytelling in games. the voice acting is one of the best in medium. the boss battles your so unique especially psycho mantis. it put the stealth action genre on the map. the graphics don't hold up well now but like i said earlier anything from the PS1/64era rarely does.
  • Red Dead Redemption#12 in All Time Favorite Games#7Red Dead RedemptionAramonde's opinion: At number 7 we have my best game of 2010 Red Dead Redemption. i love old westerns like Clint Eastwood, John Wayne westerns and before red dead. not many games explored the genre. RDR captured the feeling so well. John Marston is a likeable character thoughout his journey. he's just trying to go straight and be family man. but he's got one last job hunting down his old gang. I think rockstar has a another blockbuster series on there hands and imho better than gta.
  • Final Fantasy VII#7 in All Time Favorite Games#8Final Fantasy VIIAramonde's opinion: At number 8 we have Final Fantasy VII. the masterpiece of jrps(your welcome msg). such rich story, deep characters, this games put jrpgs on map for consoles. the only criticism i can say is the graphics don't hold up well. but hardly any games do from the PS1/64 era. jrps aren't about graphics anyway it's more about the story. if need to know more go ask msg he'll be happy to tell you.
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City#63 in All Time Favorite Games#9Grand Theft Auto: Vice CityAramonde's opinion: At number 9 we have my favorite Grand Theft Auto game GTA: Vice City. the 80's setting was fantastic, only made better with best soundtrack from a gta game. the music gave you feeling that you really in the 80's. and no gta game had better humor the vice city. the story of vice city is alot like the movie scarface. but better imo. and just like with every rockstar game the voice acting is incredible.
  • Battlefield: Bad Company 2#121 in All Time Favorite Games#10Battlefield: Bad Company 2Aramonde's opinion: ok now were in my top ten and it starts off with my favorite FPS, Battlefield Bad Company two. i've put so much time in with this game. from when it launched in 2010 till BF3 in 2011 i would play at least 3to4 hours a day. tanks, heli's,boats, atv's,uav's and HUGE open maps this tactical shooter is so fun especially is have friends who work together. over half of my friends on PSN come from bad company two. i'm really excited to see bad company 3, maybe it will get me back into FPS again.
  • Batman: Arkham Asylum#45 in All Time Favorite Games#11Batman: Arkham AsylumAramonde's opinion: At number 11 we have Batman Arkham Asylum. pretty much the BEST COMIC BOOK HERO GAME EVER!!! rocksteady games showed the industry that if you give a good team a good budget& time you can make good comic book or any movie based game great DUH!!! the voice acting in this game is amazing! especially mark hamil as the joker(my all time favorite joker btw). rocksteady made a new combat system that other devs had copied(nothing wrong with that). my favorite parts were the scarecrow parts. because of him he is now my fav batman villain.
  • The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask#19 in All Time Favorite Games#12The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Ma...Aramonde's opinion: At number 12 we have The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. Since i have the one game per franchise rule it was a really hard choice, MM or OofT or aLtoTP. i chose MM but i like you could be the different races. it added a whole other element to the game. plus a the other different masks you get added so much extra content.
  • Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht#646 in All Time Favorite Games#13Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zu...Aramonde's opinion: numbers 11 though 13 were the hardest part to rank. even though this game is #13 it's basicly a tie. so at number 13 we have Xenosaga Episode 1. a jrpg with a fantastic story & great battle system. my brother got this game watched him play the first hour and i was hooked. ziggy who's a badass cybrog is my favorite character. and albedo who has the best wicked/evil laugh ever! if like jrpg's you definitely check this out.
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim#3 in All Time Favorite Games#14The Elder Scrolls V: SkyrimAramonde's opinion: At number 14 we have The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. i almost passed on this game. i liked oblivion but thers was alot of stuff that buged me. i always told my friend i wasn't going to get right away. but after playing it at his house, i got it the next day. skyrim improved on everything i hated in oblivion. the best thing they improved was the leveling system. you don't have level up 8 specific sub attributes level up to level up your overall level. the character creation was vastly improved. i also like the territory of skyrim better than cyrodill. the Elder Scrolls games are best wrpg's right now.
  • GoldenEye 007#46 in All Time Favorite Games#15GoldenEye 007Aramonde's opinion: At number 15 we have Goldeneye 64. The game that made FPS on consoles, now people who didn't play it at the time won't get why it's great(i'm glancing at you klemoib). at the time the controls were fantastic. animations i'd never seen before like the scientists would surrender and you would shoot there butt and they would hold there butt. and there would be blood were you shot them i'd never seen that before in a game. And then theres multiplayer all my friends and i would play hours upon hours having so much fun. it doesn't look good now but i have so many good memory's playing it and alot of other gamers do to that's why it popular.
  • Tecmo Super Bowl III: Final Edition#2156 in All Time Favorite Games#16Tecmo Super Bowl III: Final Edit...Aramonde's opinion: At number 16 we have Tecmo Super Bowl 3 final edition. i know most people will say WTF! i've probably rented this game more than any other. i got so bad i have a memory of been in a video store and my brother complaining " god you get that every time!!!". TSB is a genesis/snes american football game id say it's 70% arcade 30% sim. i played it recently and had a huge rush of nolstalgia and i still had fun with it. so it holds a special place on my list.
  • Star Wars: Battlefront II#70 in All Time Favorite Games#17Star Wars: Battlefront IIAramonde's opinion: Up next at number 17 we have (cue star wars music) Star Wars Battlefront 2. my favorite star wars game. you play famous large scale battles that happened thoughout the six movies. probably the best way i can describe it is it's like the battlefield games in star wars but in third person. in two they added the ability to play as heroes and villains for a certain time (jedi, sith etc). and the biggest improvement was space battles hop in your favorite ship and destroy the enemies main ships. if your a big star wars fan you need to play game!
  • Champions of Norrath#1002 in All Time Favorite Games#18Champions of NorrathAramonde's opinion: At number 18 we have Champions of Norrath(realms of everquest). When any PC gamer says to me "how could you even put diablo on consoles?" i would say play Champions of Norrath. CoN is a awesome dungeon crawler on the PS2. There are five different classes you can choose male or female barbarian, high elf cleric, wood elf ranger, erudite wizard, dark elf shadowknight. the gamplay is like other hack n slash type dungeon crawlers, it just as addicting as diablo imho better.
  • NFL Blitz#1320 in All Time Favorite Games#19NFL BlitzAramonde's opinion: At number 19 we have NFL Blitz! the best sports arcade game ever! it's american football but with almost no rules. you can legdrop and body slam people after the play is over. throw 50 yards behind the line then throw 100 yards for a touchdown. even people who aren't big sports fans love it after they play it. some of the best time in arcade for me
  • SoulCalibur II#287 in All Time Favorite Games#20SoulCalibur IIAramonde's opinion: now were heading in to 20 though 11 the hardest part of my list. At number 20 we have soulcaliber 2. my favorite 3D fighter such a well balanced game. Nightmare is favorite character to use. followed by Heihachi, who was the console exclusive character for PS2(Spawn for xbox,Link for Gamecube). SC2 was so good i've never been ever to play the sequels. they broke up nightmare into two characters it's just not the same. if want totry the soul caliber series start with this one.
  • Dynasty Warriors 4#903 in All Time Favorite Games#21Dynasty Warriors 4Aramonde's opinion: At number 21 we Dynasty Warriors 4, the DW games get alot of shit hear in the west. which is understandable every game is the same story. but with each installment they add more characters improved the move sets, added more battles maps. except DW6 that one sucks. DW4 is the best of the series. it had the best map and movesets.
  • Star Fox 64#98 in All Time Favorite Games#22Star Fox 64Aramonde's opinion: At number 22 we have StarFox 64, DO A BARREL ROLL!!! sorry couldn't resist:) this is rail shooting at it's finest. so many memory's playing this at friends houses. i love how there's different ways though each mission and all the character's are great. peppy's the old veteran, falco is a dick, slippy a fucking wuss, bill is a stoned 90's guy, star wolf is a badass "can't let do that star fox" such a great game, i've never played any of the ones after 64. i wish nintendo would make a proper sequel instead of crap ing out a bunch new super bros games
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time#431 in All Time Favorite Games#23Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tu...Aramonde's opinion: At number 23 we have in most peoples opinion the best beat'um up of all time TMNT turtles in time! i was obsessed with TMNT as a kid. so when i saw TinT cabinet in the arcade i was freaking out. playing as raph(my favorite turtle) beating the shit out foot ninja's with my brother(as leo)we were in gaming heaven. it was later ported to the snes and genesis(as hyperstone heist)
  • Mafia II#305 in All Time Favorite Games#24Mafia IIAramonde's opinion: At number 24 we have Mafia II, Let me start this with saying I LOVE THE 40's&50's! the cars, clothes, music everything about that decade. M2 did such a good job putting you in that time. the story start's with vito (your character) coming home from WWII and meeting up with his body joe. there you go working your way up though the ranks of the mob. even though this is a open world game like GTA, there's not as much stuff to do M2 than GTA. M2 focuses more on story than a bunch of side stuff as GTA(not saying gta games story's are bad). if you like games like GTA or third person action games i think you'll like Mafia II.
  • Heavenly Sword#1433 in All Time Favorite Games#25Heavenly SwordAramonde's opinion: We start off my top 25 with heavenly sword. when it came out people often referred to it as goddess of war, and rightfully so. but HS is not just a GofW clone, imo it's better than GofW. the mocap was done by WETA workshop who did the special effects for the lord of the rings movies. the facial emotions and lip sync they did is the best i've ever seen! your main character Nariko is sexy redhead badass who kicks the shit out of anyone or anything in her way. the game has fantastic villains, a weird and funny sidekick, great story, brutal gameplay. this is a very underated game you should definitely checkout.

10Classic!

there is no doubt in my mind that Shadow of the Colossus is my favorite game of all time. just the world is a wonder to behold, i could roam across the land for hours. so much of the story is left open to your imagination. you take your lover or sister or friend to a forbidden land in hope to bring her back. you are instructed to defeat 16 different colossi by mysterious being. each of these creatures are a puzzle of there own. every time you kill one it feels like murdered in innocent being for your own selfish reasons. never have played such i game that effected all of my emotions. if you've never played this you owe it yourself to experience masterpiece of gaming.

coming in at number two is Okami. when this game came out i thought it was going to be the next zelda. such a beautiful game, with it's japanese watercolor art style. never before had i seen anything like it. the unique paintbrush mechanic was a new way to fight enemies and solve puzzles. the amazing story steeped in japanese culture kept me wanting more and more. Sadly the game didn't sell well thus clover studios was shut down. but they did make a gaming experience deserving it's place among the best.

At number 6 we have Metal Gear Solid. it was the first game that introduced me to serious storytelling in games. the voice acting is one of the best in medium. the boss battles your so unique especially psycho mantis. it put the stealth action genre on the map. the graphics don't hold up well now but like i said earlier anything from the PS1/64era rarely does.

At number 8 we have Final Fantasy VII. the masterpiece of jrps(your welcome msg). such rich story, deep characters, this games put jrpgs on map for consoles. the only criticism i can say is the graphics don't hold up well. but hardly any games do from the PS1/64 era. jrps aren't about graphics anyway it's more about the story. if need to know more go ask msg he'll be happy to tell you.
