Latest Microreviews on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Review written Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 at 03:16 pm.

Not really my style but can't deny it's a pretty well made game. Graphics were pretty amazing for the time and so was the general size and scope of the world. Fallout 3's setting was definitely more up my alley but maybe if I went back to this post-Fallout I might like it more...

Oblivion atmosphere was just spot on, it pulled me in and it felt like I was truly in Tamriel. This was my first T.E.S game and for that reason, for me, it's the best one there was.

This will always be my favourite game. It is the 1 RPG that has kept me coming back for more. Out of all the RPGs i have played, never have I ever came across something more enthralling and captivating than this. It deserves 10/10.

Great main storyline and secondary storylines are quite good. Fantastic battle system, specially the proportional strength of the enemies to your level

Oblivion was the game that introduced me in the Elder Scrolls series, for a moment i tink i lived in Cyrodill, an experience i will never forget. Chracters and Quests are very interesting and well made, the story is what you expect from an Elder Scrolls game, amazing. The only problem i had was the combat, sometimes it feels very static. The other thing i don't like was the level up system which in high levels enemies fight you with glass and ebony items, i understand the developers trying to make it always a bit hard but most of the time it pisses you off. Anyways, the game is really interesting and i recommend you to play it.

ALMOST better than skyrim, but not quite there, where this game has great RPG elements, skyrim just has some sort of charm to it that this game lacks

The game that never ends I put countless hours into this game and i will admit i barley scratched the surface even today sometimes at the bar me and my buddy's will start talking about Oblivion and someone will remember an event that is damn near unrepeatable, it feels like a world that has endless things to offer plus with the modding community it pretty much does. The only negative thing i can think of is the difficulty spike are ridicules I hated level 12-14 everything gets insanely hard to kill but Oblivion is still my favorite RPG in the Elder scrolls franchise.

I still play modded version of this game, and always am surprised when there is something I didn't see before.

Amazing open world game. Played like 700 hours. Woke up in the morning and until I went to sleep. I did nothing else for an entire summer.
