  • Welcome to a brawl for the ages, where anything can happen, anyone can show up and all bets are off. In multiplayer games, characters from all Nintendo universes meet up in Nintendo locales to duke it out. In the solo mode called "The Subspace Emissary," the world of Smash Bros. is invaded by an entity called the Ancient Minister and his army of creatures, called "The Primid." Normally, characters come alive in the world of Smash Bros. to do battle, then turn back into trophies when defeated. However, the Ancient Minister starts turning characters into trophies to harness their power, then detonates bombs that suck pieces of the world back into his realm of Subspace.

8.0Great

Melee, minus a few characters, add about 15 more characters, make it a bit slower... that doesn't mean this game is bad, I just think its predecessor is better. The Subspace Emissary was quite fun, the online is... nonexistent without using the Wiimfii thingy, but, the game is very good. META KNIGHT OP PLZ NERF

9.0Fantastic

Just plane awesome. This is a fighting game where Nintendo characters brutally beat each other into the ground. You have fighters like Mario, Link, Pikachu, and many more.Unlike most fighting games where you have a health bat that goes down, you have a percent bar that goes up. The higher your percent, the more likely you are to be knocked off the stage. This game has many stages and items, each unique. There are a variety of game modes to keep you busy.

10Classic!

I am not a big fan of the fighting game genre, so it shows how good Brawl is that it has become one of my favourite games of all time. My friends and I spent years of our lives playing this game together for fun and competitively. The roster of Nintendo classics keeps you playing through all the characters until you find your personal preference (mine will always be Ness). I personally loved the Subspace Emissary mode despite it receiving a lot of criticism, as I thought it was brilliant how Smash Bros was turned into a side-scroller with bosses. The large variation of stages and stage customization keeps you playing and it truly is not surprising that this series is one of Nintendo's biggest franchises that is always eagerly anticipated.

9.5Classic!

I know Brawl gets a lot of flack for being so much slower paced than Melee, but it's personally my favorite in the series (so far, at least. I've only had SSB3DS for a few days). The addition of stickers, a real deal adventure mode (even if the story is a little lacking), and an awesome soundtrack really improve the Smash Bros series. I've devoted countless hours to playing this with my brother and friends, and Brawl is a really fun party game.

10Classic!

My favorite Wii game, and possibly my favorite game of any system. Hundreds of hours of fun with all of your favorite Nintendo characters. This is the perfect game to play with your friends, but single player modes can get boring over time. For single player, the best options are to play wifi battles (but they often lag), complete challenges in Stadium Mode for some achievements and unlockables, and to play the Subspace Emissary (story mode). If you have a Wii and enjoy playing games with your friends or siblings, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is for you.

9.5Classic!

The most entertaining and chaotic entry in the series, this game brought in a good number of new characters and made them all work. A bit disappointed that they didn't change or even remotely try to fix Ganondorf, but the addition of Wolf O'Donnell and the Subspace Emissary made it relate to me far better than Melee was ever going to.
