This game was the first flight shooter I ever played and defined my love of the Star Wars Franchise

Rogue Squadron is the best Star Wars game around, imo. There are tons of cool stages that are taken from the 'galaxy', and a few unlockable scenarios from the movies, through which you can pilot pretty much any ship that you can name from the franchise. There was cool voice acting in this game too, and the replay value was endless because the game play was simple and addicting.

One of the best Star Wars games. Flying the different crafts feels different, while getting top marks for each mission is challenging.

The only thing I've ever liked much about Star Wars were the Jedi. Lightsabers and the whole kind of galaxy cop job was always really cool to me - the peripherals I didn't care for so much because I'm not a fan of sci fi. This game was kind of an anomaly then, because I played it to death when I was a kid despite it not having one lightsaber anywhere to be found (that I know of). The cheats were maybe the thing I remember having the most fun with - getting the pilot the Millenium Falcon, using the best ship in the game (A-Wing) wherever you wanted it, and using a flying cadillac.

This is got to be the best flying shooting game I've ever played; you are Luke Skywalker fighting along side Rogue Squadron against the empire between episodes IV and V of the Star Wars Saga, with trilling dogfights and many missions with different objectives to complete with increasing difficulty after every mission is cleared; Has a lover of the Star Wars Trilogy, this is the game that really made me feel I was fighting with the rebel alliance against the galactic empire. It truly is one hell of a game.

Like I've said, I like Star Wars and I like space shooters. What do you get when you add them together? This! Granted, this really had nothing you couldn't find with Star Fox... except for Star Wars, of course!!!

Just having destroyed the Death Star in Episode IV, Luke Skywalker groups together with his rebel friends to form the Rogue Squadron. "SW:RS" is a combat flight action game that is limited to the surface of the many planets from the movies as well as the Expanded Universe. Tatooine, Bespin, Corellia, many more - just don't expect any fresh content. It is also limited by a lack of buddy command system. Missions vary from destroying enemy drones and fighters, defending towns, escorting convoys and assaulting imperial bases. At the end of each mission your performance is graded, challenging the completionists. You can unlock more powerful ships, like Y-Wings, and even fancier stuff: Tie Fighter, Millenium Falcon, a cadillac. I shit you not.

I always blew up Mos Eisley on the first mission.
