I really didn't believe that this game is as good as it is.

2D indie games with simplistic, minimalist graphics feel like a dime a dozen nowadays, but Sound Shapes' interesting premise puts it above the fray. Collecting notes throughout the level gives it a nice twist. The platforming feels nice, especially sticking to surfaces. Unfortunately the campaign included feels too short and isn't challenging enough for most of it. It feels like the game doesn't delve enough to show off the ingenius platforming this game is capable of. Like LittleBigPlanet, this game is built around community generated levels and has a pretty good level editor. A nice game, I just wish it included more content from the get go.

Great music and level editor, but the platforming isnt that fun. The levels are pretty basic and its fairly straightforward finishing the campaign with all the coins, but Death Mode is where its supposed to get challenging. Unfortunately thats not great either, the time limit always seems tough to begin with, but it mostly comes down to chance as you just keep restarting until the coins spawn close together. Once you get a lucky run with the coins in the right places, the time limit isn't a problem. My hopes were high so I'm really disappointed, its not a bad game at all though
