  • Action Adventure
  • If you think you knew what it felt like to be the bounty hunter behind the visor, think again. Take aim at evil with Nintendo's revolutionary controller. Players control Samus by moving with the Nunchuk controller and aiming with the pointer, allowing for a level of immersion unlike anything they have ever experienced. Through the eyes of Samus, players experience a quantum leap in first-person control as they wield the Wii Remote, the ultimate device for the first-person shooter genre. Samus employs well-known power-ups like the Grapple Beam and Morph Ball, as well as a bunch of new surprises, to help her survive her coming trials. Saving the planets from Corruption isn't enough, though. Eventually, players must take down Samus' mortal enemy, Dark Samus.

Corruption is a great introduction to Metroid and does the ?Metroidvania? formula perfectly.

This is the only first person shooter that I really enjoyed, possibly because it is more of an adventure game. You solve puzzles using Samus' Morph Ball and other abilities, explore distant planets, and face brilliant bosses.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Review written Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 at 06:25 am.

This game defined the reason I got a Wii. While it may not be the strongest Metroid game, it is by far the most memorable for me. The environments feel exotic and the stories behind them draw me in. From the cloud city to the desolate wrecked ship, this game was an utter joy to play the whole way through.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Review written Tuesday, April 10th, 2012 at 09:51 pm.

Retro studios put an unbelievable amount of work into all three Prime games, but even with two wildly intriguing predecessors to live up to, the dev pulled it off - Prime 3 turned out even better than 1 and 2. Nearly everything in sight could be scanned for information, the bestiary was derived from well-thought out evolutionary mythology, music is unique and unlike anything else I've heard, and...well, planet hopping is always a blast. Not to mention it continues to sport the Wii's best graphical capabilities even after a few years. I have nothing bad to say about MP3. Nothing at all. I never have, and I never will. To this day I consider it the best game on the Wii.

Metroid Prime 3 is in my opinion the best use of the Wii's capabilities. Non-intrusive controls makes you feel part of the action like no other FPS.

Extremely overlooked, this game is WAAY better than any shooter of this generation. it perfected what Prime started, and took out the annoying go here than go here than go here formula from the first game (or just disguised it really well.) the story and voice acting are top-notch. If your a fan of FPS's or just fun games, check this one out.

This was one of the first games I played on the Wii and after it, I NEVER wanted to play a shooter with dual-analog ever again; I think this one has been highly overlooked by many, and deserves more attention, the story shows very well the fight of Samus to control the phazoon running through her veins and it closes very well the Prime Trilogy; the controls are my favorite thing about this game, it made me wanted to prefer a new control style over one I was very used to, that alone says a lot!

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Review written Tuesday, May 31st, 2011 at 04:00 am.

In case you haven't noticed so far, until recently I haven't played very many game series in the correct order, and Metroid Prime 3 is another example of this. What surprised me most when I began to play Corruption was how successfully Retro Studios was able to translate the main gameplay systems that make the 2-D Metroids so good into 3-D, much like Nintendo previously had with Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time, while still adding a lot to the fantastic series. Corruption is an exceptional game thanks to the same things that had made previous Metroid games so good, those things being the extremely heavy mood, the feeling of progression thanks to upgrades, great combat, and a large ominous world to explore.

Culmination of the best video game trilogy ever. Simply great.
