What can I say about this game that hasn't already been said? The plot is gripping. The gameplay is fantastic. I love the stealth-centric approach. This is undoubtedly the best stealth game ever, and in the debate for greatest game of all time.

Great game with a lot of inspiration for the 007 franchise this game feels like playing a Bond film in all the good ways great story, gameplay, and characters. What really stands out though are the games bosses which in MGS 3 are the best in the series in my opinion (except The Pain he was lame) all around a great game.

Alright, how much do I like this game, a lot, not that I got that out of the way. It is my favorite Metal Gear Solid game because of it's new characters, new setting, and introduction of CQC. This game would have not had as much of an impact as it did without CQC (For those that don't know, CQC is basically being able to attack opponents with a sort of Judo type of combat style). I believe this game to be one of the strongest in the series, story wise (not importance to the whole plot, but as it's own). The story really shows the struggles of a soldier more than any of the other Metal Gear Solid games did, including 4.

Not my favorite MGS game. The bosses just feel so unimportant (Except the boss), and I'm not a big fan of how quiet the game was. Sure, Big Boss is on a stealth mission alone in the jungle and I can understand that, but it took away the life that the other MGS games gave off. Though 4 of the characters are very well developed in the game, so much time is spent in the jungle that I almost forgot that a story was going on. The ending was great, but there's just an unbalance or gameplay-story telling ratio. Important things happen at the beginning, then you're thrown into the jungle for 80% of the game with some story every now and then, then the big climactic end. Regardless, the game is great, but just wasn't as enjoyable as the oth

Beutifully James Bond-like, MGS3 is the first MGS to have an understandable story.

I have played this on both the original Ps2 and on the HD Collection for Ps3. In HD, the game is gorgeous, but what really hits a chord for me is the incredibly scripted story, amazing gameplay, and a sickening amount of replayability. Having completed this game several (6 or more) times, on difficulties ranging from very easy to very hard, I get something new from this game every time. The enemy AI is smart, the set-piece ending leaves you in awe, and it ties the Metal Gear story arc together very coherently. Whether you're a MGS fan, or just an avid gamer looking for an insane challenge, pick this one up. If you have the consoles, pick it up with the HD collection, with MGS2 and Peace Walker. It's a beautiful game.

This was one amazing game. The characters were awesome, the scenery was beautiful and fit in well with the story, the music was fantastic and the game play mechanics were great. I love how this game tied in real life Cold War events into its story. If your a Metal Gear Solid fan, or just looking for a good game, then this game is for you.
