What can I say about this game? My Favorite Game? Well its hard to put it into words but i'll type what comes to mind. There's alot to say about a game when you can't even describe what game type it is. RPG? J-RPG? FPS TPS? Is it an adventure or a survival horror? I mean you have to not die in it and it does have a horror theme but its not really like a survival horror. It also has puzzle elements all over you place and you explore like an adventure. So what is this game? All I can say is that its a new form of adventure type gameplay where you travel through a mansion and clear rooms to progress further by collecting keys. Its strange and they did it all to Luigi, the character who had no importance other than being Player 2 prior.

Surprisingly it was one of the most fun games on the gamecube. It was completely unique and had a very fun combat system, and a lot of mystery and exploration. It also felt extremely rewarding to beat the game and see your mansion. That aspect alone provided re playability. To this day I would love to play it again.

This game just. I played it with my only friend when I was little and it scared the shit out of me. It's just a fun, easy, quirky game.

Luigi's Mansion will always have a special place in my gamer heart; it was actually the very first GCN game I ever had and - oh, boy - was it a grand ol' time. Traversing the dark corridors of some creepy mansion in search of our famed brother, spooked by ghosts at each and every turn, had never been so fun until Luigi's Mansion. Yet what stood out most with the title was its style. Yes, the title was humorous. But it was Luigi's reluctant bravery despite his fears that made the title have a voice, have a personality, have a style.

This is a game I can always go back to loving. Simple, but very enjoyable gameplay that's a change to the Mario series, a fantastic atmosphere, and.. well.. the overall experience is good enough for a full playthrough in one sitting. 9/10

The hidden mansion on PAL felt like real hell, felt like achieving something after playing through it.

Creepy atmosphere, good music, and the fact that luigi is the star of this game makes it all worth while, though the game is very short.

Luigi's Mansion Review written Wednesday, February 20th, 2013 at 09:10 pm.

Luigi's Mansion has nice graphics and sound effects... but unfortunately these are the only good things I can say about this game. I tried to enjoy it but I simply couldn't. The controls are very strange and uncomfortable so defeating those ghosts is a pain. The difficulty is very high and some of the required switches and objects are hidden so well that I could not find them without the help of a walkthrough. The gameplay gets boring really quickly as Luigi has to do the same thing all the time. After a few hours I gave up because I didn't know what to do and where to go. It really wasn't that fun. People who like exploration probably like this game better but I found it confusing and the controls were bad and imprecise.
