Great game

So much hype for me coming into this game, maybe my most anticipated game ever... But besides that, the game was beautiful and it's face capture technology served it's purpose almost perfectly and despite cases feeling repetitive at times, cases were still fun and engaging. The only other complaint I have is the restrictions and the set story line you had only because I thought there would be more freedom along those lines, but regardless, still a fantastic game... 9/10

I was hoping for the choices to matter more. Some things didn't even make sense. But the atmosphere and idea is still unmatched. I'm really looking forward to a sequel.

While the gameplay gets fairly repetitive after some, with the same kind of investigations, chases and interrogations to do all the time, this is a truly unique experience. From the perfectly recreated world, the uniqueness of the detective gameplay, to the decent freedom and the solid action, this game has it nearly all. It's not as polished as most Rockstar games, but it's one that shouldn't be missed, and won't be forgotten for a while.

Even though people seem to really think of GTA as the best Rockstar game, and even one of the best games ever. I disagree, I think L.A. Noire is easily the best Rockstar game. This game makes you feel like a detective in the 40's, using clever mechanics never seen in any other game (At least to my knowledge.). I was having fun by finding clues, acing the questions and just generally solving street crimes, car thefts, murders and drug cases. There are problems though. It's sometimes too long and you beat the cases no matter how well you do. It's also a bit repetitive and the action sequences are dull, but L.A. Noire still makes up for it by being creative, having a good atmosphere, story and characters. Really good.

Rockstar did it again. An amazing, unique game.

Nice game where you control a detective called Cole Phelps to solve cases in 1940s L.A. by doing interrogations with people and finding clues. It also has car chases and gunfights. The mechanics could soon feel repetitive but overall it's a good game.

This game is unlike any other and will probably be one of a kind, Flawless? No but the future standard for gaming? I say yes. It did indeed have its flaws...I felt the game was a little short (finished in less than 5 hours for me) but it certainly delivered a unique look into the role of a detective in the 50's. Astounding facial elements and a lovingly re-created backdrop, being a student of Criminology and Psychology this just screamed "Buy me" and you know what? As much as people did despise the game (and I CAN understand why sometimes), I don't regret my purchase...and on those nights when i just feel like I could make a difference; I play L.A Noire.

Revolutionary... That's all that is needed. The face motion capture astounded me and, as always with Rockstar, it gripped me from the the start to the end. Prefect portrayal of 1940's LA
