Latest Microreviews on Gravity Rush

I had a lot of fun with Gravity Rush, although it's not perfect there's something really enjoyable about picking yourself and others up with your control of gravity and propelling them halfway across the city. It's only real problems really are the lack of true original creativity that could have been had with such a mechanic, it never really steps out of it's safety zone I feel. A must buy for anyone wanting a fun and beautiful game for their PSVita.

A lovely piece of experience, flawed but lovely; Set in the city of Heksville, you play has Kat, a girl with an unknown origin and the power to shift gravity at will with the help of her cat Dusty, protecting the people of the town from "The Nevi" threat, The story is very neat, memorable and kinda heartwarming but the writing is too simplistic and treats the gamer like a dumb at times; gameplay is the must fun part, as you can shift the gravity at any time to navigate the enviorment and combat is fairly good. The anime style combined with the cel-shaded look makes for a great looking game. Bottom line, Gravity Rush is a great game on PSVita; it has it's short comings but the good stuff easily overcomes does

Interesting gameplay mechanics, while not perfect, Showcases the Vita's abilities

One of the most creative and charming games to come along in quite some time. A true breath of fresh air in this era of staleness. The gravity shifting mechanic is just pure fun and after countless hours of play, launching myself into the air and across the city is still thrilling. The game looks beautiful, sounds amazing and is teeming with personality, including the lovable hero, Kat. I will say that it suffers from being repetitive, as a lot of the missions, sidequests and enemies feel all too familiar, but what the game does well far overrides what it does poorly. I can only hope they improve upon that in a sequel!

I love the gravity mechanic and generally just using it to navigate the open world, but I don't think it reaches it's pontential as the missions are pretty repetitive and sometimes fustrating. The most annoying ones limit your gravity powers in some way, by either removing it completely or limiting the time using it to a second ot two. Again the actual combat is decent if youre flying around, but its still pretty repetitive gravity kicking the glowing weak spots. You can upgrade your character with a few special moves but they're all fairly similar. I would like to see a sequel for this because it feels like there is alot of potential that wasn't quite reached
