This is Obsidian's attempt to make Fallout 3 more like a real Fallout/Black Isle game and less of an Elder Scrolls/Bethesda game, it's somewhat successful. Weirder/funnier, much better voice acting, more complex gameplay, more options. Impressive effort. Running into old Mark Morgan songs is a cool touch. I didn't really run into serious bugs so far. I'm playing using the "hardcore" survival mode where ammo has weight and you have to eat/drink/sleep. It's really cool that they have added this and other options like modding weapons! It adds a lot. I even kinda like the caravan card games. Heard the community mods are great too. I'm a bit iffy on what score to give it, game has flaws, but better than F3.

An amazing open-world RPG with that feel of the Good Ol' Post-Apocalyptic USA, this time in the City of Sin. Choose a side-NCR, Legion, House, or go on your own and be your own damn boss. It's your choice! Just remember- don't pick the legion, I'll judge you. Hard.

Some major issues set the game back, but the DLC is part of my favorite experience in all of gaming.

Fallout: New Vegas Review written Saturday, December 14th, 2013 at 07:50 pm.

Has much has I love New Vegas, there are things that keep it from being better than Fallout 3. The story is good but lacks any kind of grip that could attached me to the situation, for example: I didn't find so motivating finding the guy that tried to kill me compared to finding my father in FO3, some side quests felt tedious, a more painful item management and crashes are far worse; but the Mojave is more full of life compared to the capital with likable companions, better weapon variety and better sense of humor. Choosing sides in the war was interesting and pushes me to help all sides to see how the future of Vegas changes. Despite my issues, I still found myself enjoying this game, spending hours and hours exploring the wasteland...

Fallout New Vegas has more weapons, more gameplay features, more perks and traits to choose from, more INTERESTING side quests/story and deeper plot choices than its prequel. You can actually know more about the history of the Fallout Universe from playing this game. This game has more action in its plot and it has more tedious consequences from the choices you make in the story. They even added IRONSIGHTS WHICH IS FREAKING COOL. The game is also full of (game breaking) bugs and glitches but not that bothering. Best game I played in 2010.

Fallout: New Vegas Review written Thursday, July 25th, 2013 at 05:54 am.

New Vegas improved a hell of a lot over its predecessor more than people think. People think that New Vegas doesn't get the tone right as much as 3.I'm no hater of Fallout 3,it's in my top 25.Simply because 3 had less humor than NV does NOT mean it has a better tone. This is a satirical,satisfying,huge,retro-futuristic,post-apocalyptic load of fun.I got 131 hours worth on the Xbox alone. It's a classic not because it literally has classical music, but mostly because it's so huge and most definitely will and still spawn stories (there are New Vegas conversation parodies on YouTube right now!).Everyone can get a different experience. If there is any major con(s) with this game,it's one casino guns bug and slow saves.
