Blazblue is definitely my favourite 1 on 1 fighting game series. I really like all the different characters to choose from and all the different stages and BGMs. I also think the story of this game is fantastic and I like how the story of Calamity Trigger is put in this game in case you weren't able to get the first one. I would say this game is a must buy if you enjoy fighting games.

The greatest fighting game of all time IMO. Blazblue's varied cast, fast-paced battles, and great care and dedication to maintaining and fine tuning competitive balance forms the qualities of a great gem that is sadly overlooked in favor of other sloppier fighters made by famed yet recently rather complacent companies such as capcom.

The new king of the genre! BlazBlue: Continuum Shift EXTEND is simply in a league of its own. Pros: Fantastic cast of characters that puts all other games in the genre to shame, deep fighting system and yet still accessible to the newcomers thanks to the stylish input mode, beautiful visuals, the best story the genre has seen yet, great writing and VA, tons and tons of content and options, superb net coding, great soundtrack, superb tutorial Cons: Inconsistent production values, storytelling should have been more streamlined, takes too long to get from one match into another in MP, technical input mode feels to be made with fighting sticks in mind

This series gets too many revision for its own good...but that said, it's wonderful. The only 2D fighters I've ever had a thorough enough understanding of to consider myself 'good' at it. 17 incredibly distinct characters, some of them with very unusual playstyle. Mu and Carl are two of the most fun fighting game chracters I've ever encountered (and are the two least popular characters in the game online!). If more 2D fighters had as much character variety as this, I wouldn't be so sad that nobody cares about BB. Oh, and it looks great, and the soundtrack is one of the best ever.
