BioShock 2 Review written Monday, March 23rd, 2015 at 05:54 am.

Bioshock 2 is almost as good as the first, by only a small margin. Rapture is still an amazing place to travel through, even if it is a bit more closed off than before (no backtracking). While it has its highlights in Ryan Amusements and Siren Alley, it doesn't quite top the likes of Arcadia and Fort Frolic from the first game. The characters and story are also fantastic. I love learning the backstory of character like Gil Alexander and Sofia Lamb. As well, the gameplay has been improved since the first game, allowing you to use plasmids and guns at the same time and I like the selection of weapons more. Overall, absolutely amazing game that should be heralded almost as the first game, and remains far better than Infinite.

I think I enjoyed this one just as much if not more than the first, because I loved being a big daddy protecting (or not) little sisters!! I was sad everytime I had to say goodbye, it really was an interesting experience for me and changed gameplay up from other games. However the writing is not as great/memorable as BS1 so it's not as classic. Still the story and narrative was great, and has a really nice ending depending on your choices, that's important for me.

A perfect trilogy to me this far into it anyhow. Bioshock 2 is virtually just as good as 1, I only like 1 about 3% more! I just preferred being in human just a touch over a Big Daddy. It's easy to see how some could get off on it more though. It's even a bit darker & severe this time. To me it almost felt less real than the first. It does indeed add more overall yet the satisfaction was only a tiny bit so for me. The "BEAUTY" part to me is that all three are one yet all there own unique games simultaneously. The Bioshock games are now an unstoppable dynasty with only 3 games in!!! A Legend has just begun.....

The story for this game was amazing and the gameplay was just as amazing. The story really hit me in the feels throughout.

Its funny how you drill other people up and crush them in this game. But at the end,you cry.....i dont know how this was possible. The ending is so sad and awesome. You really get the story through the cazettes and dialogues. 2K really created a sad and brutal game at the same time This game just blows my mind in any sort of way.

More or less the same as the first Bioshock except it has a much less interesting story.

after i played bioshock 1 I really wanted to know ''how it is to be a big daddy'' so I was very exited for bioshock 2 and, of course, it exceeded all my expectations, ITS SO DAMN AWESOME ;D

still had the polish and feel of the first bioshock, improvement on general gameplay, drill was amazing, plasmids felt more fleshed out, playing as a big daddy was actually pretty beast, big improvement on player/little sister interactions, story was not quite up to par with the first game but the pacing was much better - i.e. the 'end' of the story was actually at the end of the game. One of the best females in a game imo (Elizabeth Lamb), more good music and sound design. Still didnt quite live up to the first in the series, enemies and NPC's were less characterfull on the whole, although there were a few great ones too.

Bioshock 2 is like Terminator 2, it blows the first one away. This time I cared more about what was going on; my quest has Delta to reunite with Eleanor and save her from the claws of the mad Sophia Lamb filled me with so much emotion I pushed forward for Eleanor's sake more than mine, without mentioning the final act is one of my favorite moments in gaming and the endings mirror your behavior in a way few games can. The shooting elements are better than before and multiplayer is, much to my surprise, really fun and all this doesn't sacrifice the intense atmosphere of the original. For some, Bioshock 2 is an evil and greedy sequel that tries to capitalize on the success of the original... to me, is the game Bioshock 1 should have been...
