This one came a bit as a surprise, for me. It's a bit like Vanquish, only much less spectacular and much more conservative. Some epic boss fights, though. Mechanics are solid and what you expect from a TPS. What I like most about this one is the fact you can interact with your squad mates and has a light Bioware tendency in that you can choose your replies and it shapes your character's personality along the way. It also poses a bit of social criticism, in the sense that we're highly relying on tech and more and more on robots, but what if we go too far? A slight bit of an Asimov (I-Robot and the Robot Foundation saga) style of approach, here.

Surprisingly well written, well acted, and well designed. It's a very Japanese take on Gears of War-esque third person shooters that somehow blends intentionally silly and absurd elements with extremely serious ones without feeling at all inconsistent. One of the true hidden gems of this console generation.

I wasn't expecting much from Binary Domain and so I was surprised how good it was. The story is good and it gets great near the end. The characters were good and they also have this meter to where if you do something wrong the trust goes down. The controls feel like Gears of War. I don't really like the melee. Graphics are pretty good and the game barley gets boring thanks to the fun of blowing robots to pieces. The multiplayer doesn't really add anything and isn't worth it. If you want a game with a good story and fun combat then this is a good choice.
