This game is inexplicably amazing. The graphics aren't great, but that's one of many things that give this game charm, also bear in mind it was made in 2003. The story is intense, always making you wonder what will happen next, with many unexpected turns. One of this games greatest features is it's atmosphere. Playing it as a child, it scared me so much, it was just so tense. Even playing it in later life, it still makes me incredibly nervous. Hours of gameplay. Even if you don't enjoy the game, it's worth it just for the experience, though I don't see why you wouldn't like it anyway. Would recommend to everybody, and anybody.

This game is just plain fun, but also features a unique setting and fantastic characters. Why is there still no sequel?

Whenever I judge a game I first and foremost judge on how immersed I become and the atmosphere it creates for me, this game ticks all boxes. It sucks you in with it's attentive and interesting storyline which connects you to the very relateable characters making you feel right at home on Hyllis. Once you feel completely involved it takes you through a journey, making you look at every fine and beautiful detail such as the unique, fictional wildlife or the beautifully composed soundtrack without forcing it on the player.

A less known tittle but a masterpiece

When I feel tired of Zelda putting me through the same old motions, I have to thank games like these. The characters are so down to earth and relatable, the exploring, it reminds me of Zelda, the puzzles, the dungeons. It all works so well together. The only thing holding it back, it's too criminally short for its genre. Oh would I have given anything for this game to go on longer. I also wish it performed better so we could get more of these awesome games. Come on Michel Ancel, come on, Ubisoft, let's pump out Beyond Good & Evil 2!

Take pictures of animals admits an adventure... odd. However, it grows on the player immediately. Each creature is whimsical and made up, only managing to make the player more immersed in the world itself. When not taking on the role of a freelance photographer, the conspiracy alien-invasion story pokes it's head. While the story is engaging it is told in a rustic, yet fast paced manner. The music, memorable and catchy. All of the main cast is voiced beautifully, but some side characters... could've used a lot of work. That qualm aside, it's a great mix of action, platforming, puzzle and stealth. fun and challenging at times with a lot of charm. In the end, my only real complaint with this game is how we won't get a sequel.

What an excellent piece of gaming, the story and the soundtrack were ace, and I really felt for the characters. Jade is one of the best female protagonists, not just because she is cool and a great character, but because the people who designed her realised she didn't have to be half naked to be a great protagonist. Gameplay wise, I feel it could have been a bit better.

The plot is very interesting, and gets better at the end, but something is missing, some things should have happened, but doesn't and a lot of things are just ignored. But this game has a very nice gameplay, and good mechanics. The graphics are smooth and the soundtrack is amazing. The PC version is shitty. Go for the GameCube version, it's the better.
