Latest Microreviews on Banjo-Kazooie

Banjo-Kazooie Review written Monday, November 23rd, 2015 at 12:16 am.

This is the most fun 3D platformer you will ever play. Super Mario 64 spawned alot of copy cats and most of them you could bundle all together and have a fairly decent collection of games. But this one was special. Its not very difficult, but the story and characters are so funny and cute that anyone can just pickup this game and have a good time. What I thought was really impressive about the game was how well the music was orchestrated. For what ever world you were in there was a base track, but the tone and mood of the song would change if you went underwater or into a dark cave. Very innovative game and a classic in the genre. If you enjoy running around collecting things and beating up guys this game is perfect for you!

This game is truly a classic, I love it, it has great level design, great gameplay, and even an okay story. Now I don't like Banjo for it's story, that would be dumb, I like it for personal reason again. I grew up on this game, my friends grew up on this game. It was HARD though, especially as a kid, it was a truly wonderful and magical day when me and my brother beat this game. I really liked Banjo-Tooie as well; however, it was TRULY HARD. To this very day I can't beat Banjo-Tooie just because of how much more complex it's world is and I literally get lost in it. So yes, Banjo will always have a place in my heart...except for Nuts and Bolts.

Banjo-Kazooie is one of the best 3D platformers I have ever played. It improves on some of Super Mario 64's aspects with a greater emphasis on exploration, lovable characters, an amazing soundtrack, and hilarious writing. Though it did not have as great of an impact on the video game industry as Super Mario 64 when it was released, Banjo-Kazooie is still one of the best games that I've played.

When I wasn't playing Zelda, I was playing Banjo Kazooie. In some ways today is still the same.
