8.5Fantastic

Very recommended game even if only for the beautiful art direction. Each level is breathtaking eye candy, and also sound candy. I liked the platforming, it was not frustrating like a lot of platformers are for me, the hack n slash combat is also a lot of fun! I found this game to be really really dark though, because of some levels, themes and story. It was scarier than a lot of horror games to me, and often made me very uneasy and even uncomfortable. So it wasn't very easy to play for me, but I'm kinda sensitive about some stuff. But that does sound like the mark of successful horror. Otherwise very easy to complete 100%, the dlc stuff adds a little bit of fun to replay with. It came with the previous game, which is a plus.

7.0Good

This game was good. The gameplay was different and the story was one of the best I've ever seen. There was just one problem; once you finished the storymode, there wasn't much incentive to go back, other than finding bottles to unlock some artwork and complete Alice's tragic memory. After finishing it there wasn't much point in continuing.

8.0Great

The textbook example of how a fascinating, creepy yet dreamy world of a game like this can make you overlook some of the shortcomings. It's linear, a lot of invisible walls annoy, some platforming parts are frustrating, and even the combat can often be annoying. Yet, the attention to every single detail is so beatiful that you must keep going. The blue butterflies when you jump, the Cheshire Cat being creepy as ever, the incredible atmosphere of some of the more coloured areas... it's just so great to see. It's not the best thing you'll ever play, but it's easily one of the most stylish ones.

8.5Fantastic

This game is pretty good with graphics and the gameplay is just fantastic. But the story line is kind of hard to follow if you're like me and have to analyze everything in several different ways to get the best analysis. I used to do that to Metal Gear Solid 3.

9.5Classic!

Far darker and creepier than my normal taste in games, but I love Alice In Wonderland so I had to give this a try. A beautiful yet disturbing game, this is one I'd hesitate to recommend for children under about 12, but for anyone old enough to appreciate it, the art direction and design of this game is second to none. It's a fun traditional platformer reminiscent of early PS2 games like the Jak series, or Vexx, with 3D combat similar to God Of War but more whimsical. It is flawed. There are issues with invisible walls at times, but nothing overly damaging to the experience. The notably decent music really adds to the atmosphere too. All in all, this is a game I'd happily recommend to teens and adults alike, 9.5/10.

Amazing visuals and audio, great gameplay but it can be boring later on.

7.0Good

Alice was trapped in a boring aventure this time. Madness Returns had everything to be one of the best games of 2011, but the bugs and repeatability turned this game into a s***. The art style is one of the bests I ever seen, but let's be honest here, the controls sucks and the camera just doesn't helps. The enemies are just the same s*** all the time and the battles couldn't be more boring. The story is interesting, but they way this game was made it doesn't count enough at all.
