8.5Fantastic

I love it, specially the Twin Peaks inspiration ^^ Not too scary that I can't play, but still scary. Loved the characters, though maaan it is one hard game! The tvs and radios in the game are so much fun. Love the soundtrack (Nick Cave!!), the episodic play, each time they rolled the credits it felt awesome. Really nice atmosphere, story is very cool and ending was crazy! (haven't played DLC yet) Yet I can't help wishing... that some things were different... like that you could explore more without getting into combat sequences, that you had time to get to know the place more, maybe puzzles. Basically more "adventure game", less frustrating combat. But then I found Deadly Premonition anyway... I don't know.

8.0Great

One word: Underrated. I'll admit, the gameplay alone isn't that great, but the little things like the horror factor and the atmosphere are what make this game great. And... the storyline... perfect. Absolutely perfect. If you never played this game before, at least give it a shot.

9.5Classic!

Basically the third person horror adventure game of the 2010's, Alan Wake combines a gripping and twisted storyline that heavily relies on Stephen King's trademark style, bloody amazing graphics, a precise and exciting gameplay where every source of light and bullet counts, plus tons of secrets, unlockables, easter eggs, amazing characters... and a lovely Special Edition with a book, a soundtrack and more. It could have been longer, and sometimes the difficulty is pretty high, but it's a game that is hard to put down until the end of the story (and that includes the great DLCs too), even though many pants will be painted brown by the time that comes.

9.0Fantastic

If you have ever read Stephen King, then you will feel right at home in Alan Wake. A small town with a very big problem. Alan Wake is a horror/psychological thriller author who is thrown into his own story. As you race to save your wife Alice, you will play through a game with one of the most incredible atmospheres ever created. If not for a somewhat disappointing ending, this game's a 10.

10Classic!

This game... My god. I had heard that 'the toilets were scary' from an Xbox Live Party Chat, but other than that, I had no idea what wonders this game would contain. As you can see from my bio, I like to write, and this game was basically a Steven King novel given gameplay. This was fantastic. It was brilliant. It drew my in like no other game could, because no other game had such a storyline. It had a gameplay mechanic like which I had never seen. You have to burn away the shadows before you can shoot them? That's awesome! The shotgun you have in your hand won't do anything it you don't shine a light on them first, which makes every battle intense. And this is just a bit of why this is definitely, my favourite game of all time.

9.0Fantastic

FANTASTIC STORY, THE BEST IN ANY GAME. The mood has a keen sense of dispare. the characters are well developed and each provide there own insite on the situation. unfourtionetly the lip-syncing is borderline abysmal.

9.0Fantastic

A very underrated game, and definitely a must-have for Xbox360 owners. While it's not as scary as older survival horrors, I still recommend it to fans of the genre. It has a unique atmosphere (American thriller int the Rocky Mountains type), the story is enjoyable, some very memorable set pieces. The gameplay is simple and works perfectly. It's also one of the best looking Xbox360 games (except for the outdated facial animations). You can see the passion the developers put into creating this game on every step as you play it, it feels "handcrafted" all the way through.
